Elijah's Decision

In the last month or so Elijah has been making progress in many areas. He's started saying words. So far his vocabulary consists of "Mama", "Papa", "Yehyeh", "MumMum" (after his favorite baby mum mum crackers) and attempts at Bird, Ball, Dog and Truck. He also makes very wet, drooly car sounds when he's playing with them. Very cute. He's been working on the mobility part as well. He's been "surfing" furniture quite confidently for a while. He's been bending down to pick things up instead of sitting down. And once in a while he's been taking 4-5 steps on his own as long as it's toward on of us and we're there to catch him. Yesterday he did that at the day care and they were all very excited. Then, when he got home he decided he was going to walk. For real. On his own. All over the place. It was such a sudden and almost complete transition that I think we're still in shock. So mark your calendars. Yesterday was the day. I managed to get a few little video clips when we were at Yehyeh's for dinner. They're a little dark, but you get the idea.
